- How does MapMyPage work?
MapMyPage uses its own proprietary technology in combination with MetaCarta's GeoTagger and the Google Maps API to identify locations in web pages and display corresponding Google Maps.
- What can I do with the MapMyPage maps?
You can do a lot. You can drag the Google Maps in any direction, zoom in and out, get Satellite and Terrain views, check Traffic, see Street View images, view Panaramio photos and Wikipedia articles, and switch to Google Earth view with the Google Earth Plugin (Windows and Mac).
- What else can I do with MapMyPage?
You can Get Directions to or from the location on the map. You can Search the Map for nearby hotels, restaurants, or other points of interest. You can check the local Weather. You can send a hyperlink of the map to Email. You can export the map to Google Earth in KML format or to a GPS device in GPX format. Finally, you can Change Location or Send Feedback.
- How do I close the map?
You can close the map by clicking the "X" at the top right corner of the map window.
- How do I maximize the map window?
You can maximize the map window by clicking the maximize icon at the top right corner of the map window. If you click the icon again, it will return the map window to its original size.
- How do I move the map within the browser window?
You can move the map anywhere within the browser window by dragging the map border.
- Can I turn off maps for part of a page?
Yes, just add class="maps_off" to any HTML tag. For example, <div class="maps_off">...</div> turns off maps for that part of the page.
- Does MapMyPage underline locations?
No, we don't underline locations because we don't want to interfere with the text styling of your website.
- Does MapMyPage add maps to locations that have hyperlinks?
No, we don't add maps to locations that have hyperlinks because we don't want to interfere with the appearance of your hyperlinks.
- Does MapMyPage add maps to duplicate locations?
No, we only add a map to the first instance of a location in a web page.
- Is MapMyPage compatible with my browser?
MapMyPage is compatible with Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Firefox 2 and 3, Safari 3, and Google Chrome.
- Can I add maps to pages with dynamic content?
Yes, just copy the code block right before the </head> tag in your common include or template.
- Can I add maps to my Blogger blog?

- Can I add maps to self-hosted WordPress pages?
